Two Years

I've been feeling emotional about this day for the past two months. Those who know me personally know that I'm a HUGE crier. I cry at commercials, almost all TED Talks, kind words from friends, and can hardly stand to watch any major sporting event without weeping and blubbering out the words "You GUYS! All their dreams are coming true right now!!". So, the fact that I've only been emotional about this for two months actually feels like a bit of an accomplishment.

Two years ago today, Hoot & Holler went from a side job to my main focus. In the past two years I've had the great pleasure of creating floral designs for dozens of weddings, events, and photoshoots. We've partnered with brands such as Coca-Cola, Origami Owl, Minted, West Elm, Urban Outfitters, Phoenix Home & Garden Magazine, Madewell, and Lulu & Georgia. Our flowers have been featured on websites and in magazines including Style Me Pretty, Junebug Weddings, Arizona Foothills Magazine, Arizona Weddings Magazine, Zephyr Magazine, 100 Layer Cake, Confetti Daydreams, and Best Friends for Frosting to name a few.

All numbers aside, I've found that I've learned some incredibly valuable life lessons in these past two years. I've learned that a life without passion is not a life well-lived. I realized it is NEVER too early to chase the work that feeds your soul and I learned that it never ceases to feel rewarding when people want to pay you to do something that you love deeply. I've been incredibly lucky to have a revolving door of the most incredible clients I could have ever hoped to have. I've gotten to work with a team that kicks some serious ass the moment they walk through the door. I've moved from doing weddings in my kitchen (on the second floor of a walk-up apartment building) to having a gorgeous studio with a walk-in cooler to keep all of my blooms fresh and happy.

When I stop for a moment to think about how far Hoot & Holler has come, the emotions take hold of me and it's all I can do to not start crying immediately. I am so incredibly grateful for the couples that choose to work with Hoot & Holler on the most special day of their lives, the companies willing to step outside of the traditional box at their events and opting for fresh, unique designs, and for all of the people that follow along with us on social media, stop in to our events, or tell their friends about us.

Hoot & Holler would not be where it is today without you. So, today, we're celebrating two years with a huge thank you. These years have been incredibly kind to us and I couldn't be more grateful.

Here's to many more,
