Carolyn & Lucas's Summer Biltmore Wedding
Carolyn and Lucas chose to add flowers to their big day at the last minute. Their venue was gorgeous and at first they weren't sure if they really needed anything extra but Carolyn's mom encouraged them to order some blooms and we're so glad they did. This wedding was stunning and this couple was so much fun to work with.
Their color palette pulled from all shades of purple and Carolyn let us go wild with our favorite flowers in her arrangements. Pro tip: if you trust your vendors, give them creative freedom - the results are soooo good. Double pro tip: Don't hire vendors you don't trust.
Carolyn carried a full bouquet with dahlia, clematis, calla lilies, spray roses, and snapdragon. It was such a dream to play with all the shades of this color.
Carolyn's bridesmaids carried classic bouquets which were absolutely lovely against the soft purple of their dresses. We love this shot of everyone seated in the pews during their ceremony!
The boutonnieres and corsages were created with our hand dyed silk ribbon and featured spray roses, wax flower, and mums. This wedding is such an amazing example of the way mums can really shine. We're loving them!
Carolyn and Lucas kept the decor at their reception more minimal because the architecture at the Biltmore is absolutely stunning on its own. We framed their head table with two oversize arrangements (coming to the menu soon!) and the rest of the tables were decorated with a sprinkle of foliage and mums around a trio of white candles in glass cylinders.
We love the way their floral designs impacted their wedding day and we're so thrilled to call Carolyn and Lucas a Hoot & Holler couple!
