Things A Bride Should Never Be Without - Part 1
Relaying tips to our readers and making their life easier is something we love to do! Getting our friends to help us help you - even better! This time, we've teamed up with one of our favorite wedding planners, Ms. Skyla Brooke to bring all you future brides some super important things you should never be without on your wedding day.
1. Her planner! – Even if all your budget allows for is a day-of-coordinator....it’s a MUST! Why? Imagine yourself in bridal bliss on your big day, sipping mimosas with your BFF’s, your Maid of Honor zipping up your gown, and WHAT?! The florist is lost? Your planner will be your best friend, doing everything for you from negotiating deals for you, to navigating family drama and ensuring all your vendors arrive on time and are on task.
2. Sustenance – I cannot tell you how many brides come to their venue on an empty belly! Make sure you have a plan to feed you and your bridesmaids breakfast, lunch, appetizers before photos and dinner. I promise, your nerves and excitement will make you famished! And nobody wants a woozy bride!
3. “Go-to gal” – We always have our clients designate a go-to-gal (or guy) to go to if an important decision needs to be made on the day-of. When working with a reputable planner, these decisions should be made weeks in advance but things still do come up! Best man drank a little too much and we aren’t sure if we should still give him the microphone for his speech? GO-TO-GAL! Grandma forgot to bring her medication and needs it now? GO TO GAL! This person should be someone who knows the ins and outs of your style, attitude, and family. This way, they can make decisions on your behalf without you having to be bothered.
4. Comfortable shoes – I know those bridal red bottoms you bought are TO-DIE. We agree. But, we want nothing getting in the way of you partying hard all. night. long. Just slip some comfies in your bag just in case!
