To help celebrate Cinco de Mayo today, we wanted to share a fiesta-inspired tablescape we created at The Big Fake Wedding last fall.
We have so much love for the table and chairs provided by Glamour and Woods; they gave us an incredibly gorgeous foundation. From there, we started with our basics. First, the white plates so as not to overwhelm the table with too much detail, next our striped table runner topped with mixed bud vases. The linen at each seat was white as well because we really wanted to keep the focus on the fun, colorful flowers at the center. Each place was set with the most perfect gold flatware and each plate was topped with a set of tiny maracas and a little card encouraging guests to "Shake your booty".
Don't be afraid to have fun with your decor. Non-traditional doesn't have to be scary and the guests at this event LOVED the tiny maracas when they made their way to the dance floor.
Huge thank you to Sunshine & Reign Photography for the images in this post.
