If you're following along, we posted the first in this series of modern holiday tables last week (you can check that out here). Today, we're sharing our sweet, neutral table's sexy evil twin.
Again, the ladies at Fancy Lou Designs contributed the accents to really bring this look together. The base of the foundation of this design is the matte black plates, brass flatware, and our custom hand-dyed linen. As the table builds, you see the mixed metals with the goblets and an unexpected detail along the top of the water glass.
The key to a professional-looking design is to create levels. We chose to create this height with a mix of brass candlesticks topped by stunning, luxe black candlesticks and stacks of books topped with our signature florals in dark apothecary bottles. Don't be afraid to mix black and brown; the gold and brass help to bridge the gap and make this transition seamless.
We'd love to hear what you think. Are you more of an elegant and neutral kind of gal or do you lean towards the dark and sexy look? Do you love what you see? We can help you create this exact table for your holiday feast with the gorgeous vintage rental pieces from Fancy Lou and the elegant touch of our Hoot & Holler flowers. Stay tuned for the last holiday table design in this series coming to you the week after Thanksgiving (your Hanukkah and Christmas tables need some love, too!)
