When did you first get into photography?
I started photography about 3 years ago, but before that, I was intrigued by a local photographer's work. I loved when she shared her weddings and family photographs on Facebook because her subjects looked so incredibly happy and full of life that it was emotional for me. During this period, I had also lost my mom so I was pained and one of the most challenging parts of that was missing her. I had very few images of us together that were of quality and raw moments. So one day, I asked my fiancé for a Canon Rebel camera because I was destined to document intimate and heartened memories in some way for those I love, and for myself.

It was my pursuit to happiness and today, it certainly completed me as a person. I'm completely overjoyed by bringing once in a lifetime captured memories to all I photograph and with that, I know my ultimate purpose.

You kill it with the styling every time we work together! Tell us a little about your styling process and your inspiration when you style.
The styling process is a collection of what moves me at any given time, whether it be makeup, a gown, location, or another photographer's work inspired. It's just now pulling the pieces together that makes sense for the specific styling and mood. Finding textures, florals, lighting, and clothing and bringing all those elements together in a mood board really brings the vision to life.

We've noticed you shoot digital and film, how do you choose when to use each method?
I just started shooting film, and I'm completely head over heels in love with it. I choose to do both on a wedding day, because film allows myself to slow down and calculate each captured moment and working with digital allows myself to have that fast reliability.

Which do you prefer: film or digital?
I love shooting film because of my love for the color and creaminess film brings. It makes that intimate moment a little more raw.

 Who's your favorite photographer?
Gosh. So many in their own unique way. But, if I had to only look at one other photographers work for the rest of my life it would be Three Nails Photography. I feel like I’ve stepped into dream when looking at his photographs.

What's your favorite subject to photograph?
Outside of photographing blushing brides, which of course is my favorite, I've recently have fallen in love with maternity as well. The excitement, glow, and the anticipation of the happiest of days to come. That is my favorite thing.
